The answer is lots of 2 Bit & individual projects including a plethora of funding applications (thats how the time has gone so quickly - they're just so much fun), performances in & around Norfolk and Lithunia, a range of club nights and live events including
Foundation Sound and Loose Booty, project development - creative, community and educational (more news on these soon), down at Glastonbusy with Addictive TV & Greenpeace, courses with the BTCV in Wales, newspaper articles, graphic design projects, discovering FaceBook and lots of DJing

We started our Word Jam project today (finally!) in conjunction with Luke Wright from Aisle 16, Arts Awards, Acorn Grants and the Northern Area PRU (who have now moved to the school site on the old RAF Coltishall site).

Its Norwich International Animation Festival time with lots &
lots of visual treats on offer including Eye-Fi
A new night that aims to showcase the regions finest Audio Visual
acts and artists as well as celebrating the end of the 2006
NIAF. Eye-Fi brings together the worlds of video and sound
to produce a night of new cinemaesque musical screenings and live-gig
visuals, in a one sense-pleasing evening.

Magnum DJs funk, soul & Rock n roll shindig has come of age and
has grown into a club night - longer opening hours, 2 rooms, cocktails,
dancefloor and much louder sounds!
In the main room you'll find Loose Booty and all its dance floor-friendly
Funk, Soul and Rock'n'Roll with regular guest DJs alongside residents
Magnum DJ, DC and the Bold Soul Sister. Expect the very best in
Funk, Rock n roll, AfroBeat, Soul, Northern Soul, Motown, Deep
Funk, Super Soul Breaks and Boogaloo!
Downstairs listen to residents Dave Breaks and Lolipopalicous
playing a hotch-potch of bootlegs, ragga, broken beats, Mash-ups,
world dub, ska, Hip Hop and loads of dance floor killers!
Top of the night downstairs is our latest slot, DJ KICKS; well-known
local faces (musicians, producers, artists, DJs, bands, promoters,
comedians, landlords, footballers, you name it!) will be asked
to come and play the tunes that have influenced them over the
years, alongside their personal favourites. You've heard the compilation
albums, now come and listen to it live, Norwich-style!
'DJ Kicks' gets started on launch night with one half of Norwich's
favourite comedy duo the Nimmo Twins - Karl Minns. It's his first
time behind the decks so stand well back and get ready for an
aural treat from Norwich's funniest!
Other local legends who have agreed to dust off their favourite
vinyl for us include ITVAnglia Weather's Wendy Hurrel (October
13th), Nick Snell, founder of Norwich's long-standing favourite
clothes stores Dogfish & Catfish (Nov 10th) and longtime international
festival circuit favourite Bikerider from the 'Miniscule of Sound'
(Dec 8th).

This weekend (July 29th-30th) we're performing as part of a fundraising
event for the Wild Meadow Learning Centre - a Suffolk based
alternative education centre made using straw bales.
Its a large community effort and a great cause. Come on down
to support the learning & have fun with the likes of 10 miles
of Bad Road, The Dying Curios, the Anthropologist (DefTex, the
Marvel) & 2 Bit TV amongst others.
Theres lots of fun for all ages including cabaret, DJs, VJs,
Bands, a huge kids area, lots of lawn games, bars, kids disco,
camping in beautiful countryside, house of mirrors to name but
a few.....

A new night that aims to showcase the regions finest Audio Visual
acts and artists as well as celebrating the end of the 2006

Shame on the rest of 2 Bit for missing the Sargasso gig (too busy
being ill & weeping into our pints at Englands demise. We actually
made it for the final 45 seconds of the encore (which looked great!))
but by all accounts it was a corker with Humdrums visuals getting
thumbs up all round. Watch this space for more Humdrum & Sargasso

2 Bit TV Arts Awards project
2 Bit TV have been awarded funding from ACORN grants to develop
and deliver a video and performance poetry project with KS4 pupils
at the North Walsham PRU. Working with Luke Wright from Aisle
16 we will use our associated skills, along with the leading
AV/VJ software, VJAMM
and DV cameras, all combined with the pupils energy and enthusiasm,
to create a number of AV and poetry performances.
We hope to encourage teamwork, confidence, communication, english
literacy and computer literacy, as well as a number of other transferable
skills alongside the Arts Award accreditation, to create a hugely
enjoyable and engaging project.
The project starts in September 2006 and we'll keep you posted
on its progress.

Thanks to funding through CBIP
2 Bit TV have successfully had 3 of our tutors trained to be bronze/silver
Arts Awards advisors and consequently become the regions newest
Arts Awards Centre. We aim to incorporate Arts Awards (at all
levels) into as many of our educational projects as we can.
We're currently developing our first Arts Awards project in conjunction
with ACORN grants, Aisle 16 and the N Walsham PRU

well as the FDMX & the Garage for organising it all.

Creative
Careers Fair Come on down for a look at some of the creative
organisations in the Region. We'll be there all day (on a sunday!)
with a VJ setup or 2 for anyone to come & have a go..........
Funded by Arts Council England, East, this Fair will give young
people the chance to meet and talk to professionals from the industry
about how to get started, as well as learning more about the courses
and training opportunities available at colleges and universities.
There will be practical sessions allowing people try a range of
activities. For example, In Norwich people can find out what it’s
like to be a TV presenter reading from an autocue or try their
hand at being a VJ.
